Hello,
I am trying to move some replication folders on a Server 2003 system to a new drive, as the current drive is running out of space.
I have had a look at a previous post on moving replicated folders to a new drive, and was following through that for my environment.
The basis appears to be pretty straight forward - stop replication service, pre-seed data to the new drive, turn replication back on after changing shares to suit new location.
I have gotten to the stage of pre-seeding the data. I ran a robocopy script to copy data from E:\Data to F:\Data, however, on the new drive, the data is now saying the last date modified was the date/time of the copy.
If I was to start the replication up after changing the shares to point to the new location, will DFSR think that the data in this new drive is newer than the data on the other replication servers and replace all of the live data with this older data?
I am hesitant to do anything else without properly understanding how DFSR will see this new drive.
Thanks in advance.
