Folder Redirection - "You require permission from [YOUR_DOMAIN\YOUR_USERNAME] to make changes to this file" error

Hi All,

I've spent too much time trying to figure this out on my own so I'm hoping someone out there knows how to resolve this. I've reviewed article after article trying to determine if I've setup the Folder Redirection root folder incorrectly and, as far as I can tell, it's correct. The server version doesn't seem to matter as we have this issue on 2008 R2 x64 and 2012 R2 x64.

A user brought to my attention that when they try to change the case of a letter(s) in a document within a redirected folder (in this case, in their Documents folder) they get that message. If they change the name of the file in any way it allows it. They are able to delete/move the file. I've checked all the servers that we have setup over the last few years and all of them suffer from the same issue.

I referenced https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj649078.aspx#FolderRedirection_Step2Createafileshareforredirectedfolders and confirmed, if anything, we've given more permissions than it says to. **I tried to attach some screenshots but it's telling me "Body text cannot contain images or links until we are able to verify your account."*

Any help is appreciated.
