I have a small home network containing one server 2003 machine, 2 wired xp machines, 2 wireless xp machines, and one windows 7 machine that can be wired or wireless. ( Presently wired ). My problem is the windows 7 machine
cannot connect to the server 2003 machine as long as the windows 2003 firewall is turned on. I've tried all of the fixes for networking windows 7 and it has given windows 7 access to the other xp machines to share files, but has no results on server 2003.
I cannot figure out what in the firewall is blocking the access to windows 7. All of the xp machines access the server just fine and they also can access the windows 7 machine to share files. The windows server cannot see the windows 7 machine with the firewall
turned on, but has no problem with the firewall turned off. Since I run a few web sites from the server I am reluctant to leave the firewall turned off. Anyone have any ideas what to turn off or turn on to leave windows 7 and server 2003 talk though
the firewall ?? I'm stumped... --- Brewmaster54
