I have done an in place upgrade from server 2003 to 2008, Windows Media Services is the only thing running on this server. I have tried to import the registry keys since they do not import on this upgrade. I get the error "Not all data was successfully
written to the registry. Some keys are open by the system or other processes." After comparing the back up registry file to the registry key on the machine it is the Namespace storage keys that did not import. There are about 45 in the back up and 6 that
actually imported. Besides Windows Media Services, what other service should I stop to get around this and complete the import to get this server in use again as none of the links from a website work anymore?
