Hi I have two DFS servers that have stopped replicating with each other. One server is 2012 R2 and the other is 2008 R2. I have clicked Verify Topology and it says they are fully connected. I have
- restarted the DFS services, re-enabled connections and rebooted servers
- verified the firewall is open for them
- I've created a new replication group with different folders and it won't replicate to the other server either
- The Diagnostic Health Report states that the second member is waiting for initial replication of my Test folder
- I brought another DC online as a DFS server and no replication between any of the 3 servers
- at the cmd prompt, ran dfsdiag /testdcs and all DCs registry, site associations, referrals tested good.
- dfsrdiag replicationstate shows no inbound or outbound connections
- Propagation Tests were launched but no members received the test files
- No updates were installed at the time of replication breaking.
- This Event showed up in the logs around the time we think replication broke: ID 14505 \\users directory overlaps an existing root. The DFS Root will not be created. The solution for this states to recreate the namespace but we weren't using namespaces. I did create a new one anyways but still no luck.
Everything seems to say that they connections are good but replication just isn't happening. I'm stuck on what to try next, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
