We are running a 2008R2 domain and have a 2008R2 file server with SIS enabled(storage server). We have a large NTFS volume that is about 13TB and we want to start moving that data to a new volume because we did use 4k cluster size and have a 16TB limit. We are probably going to start moving towards smaller volumes on mount points as recommended in the article below, but the question is what happens to SIS files when they get copied? I am pretty sure it does copy the actual file and not just the pointer file to the mount point, but if there are any issues let with using any kind of different copy utilities(probably use robocopy), please let me know.
